Sister Ruth Ann Broussard Davis, 78, transitioned from earthly labor to heavenly reward on Friday, November 10, 2023, in Lake Charles, LA.  Sister Davis was born in Welsh, Louisiana on September 24, 1945, to the late Sarah V. Broussard and Horace Broussard.  She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was a member of New Covenant Faith Baptist Church, pastored by Reverend Dr. Jimmy R. Stevens.  Sister Davis was self-employed as a Private Home Care Specialist for 35 years.  She was married to the late John Howard Davis.

Sister Davis leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Kenneth R. Broussard Sr. (Clovia) of Houston, TX and Michael L. Broussard (Jackie Celestine) of Lake Charles, LA; two daughters, Debra M. Harrison (Kenneth Wayne Sr.) Berea, KY and Melissa K. Turner (Porraz) of Lake Charles, LA; her grandchildren, Kenetra Washington, Ashley Mimms, Christopher Jacobs, Michael Jacobs, Kenneth Harrison II, Syreta Joubert, Carmen Broussard, Jarred Celestine, Lejawn Celestine, and Kentre' Broussard; 15 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Sister Davis was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Davis; her sister Dorothy Fontenot; her brother, Charles Tezeno Sr.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023, at 11:00 am at New Covenant Faith Baptist Church, 2233 12th Street in Lake Charles, LA.  Pastor Dr. Jimmy R. Stevens will officiate.  Visiting with family and friends will be held in the church from 10:00 am until the time of Celebration services.  Cremation will follow under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
