Sandra Marie Matthews, 56, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at her residence.  Sandra was a native and life-long resident of Jennings, LA.  She was born on January 21, 1961 to her loving parents, Rosa Parker and Rogers Mathews.  Sandra was educated in the Jefferson Davis Parish School System and was a graduate of Jennings High School.  She was employed as a Cashier with Orange Beauty Supply Company in Jennings, LA.

Sandra leaves to cherish her memories, three children, Ivy Matthews, Tory Fontenette, and LaTisha Matthews-Boudreaux; two brothers, Rogers Matthews and Phillip Matthews; six grandchildren, Ivondre Williams, Amariah Edwards, McKenzie Matthews, Montrell Edwards, Terrell Fontenette and Cameron Fontenette.

Sandra was preceded in death by her mother, Rosa Parker; father, Rogers Matthews; brother, Carl Matthews; grandchild, Kendall Matthews; maternal and paternal grandparents.

Celebration of Life Services are scheduled for Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Rosa W. & David J. Fondel, Sr. Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, 819 N. State Street, Jennings, LA 70546. Pastor La'Juan T. Robinson of Liberty Church of Houston, Texas will officiate. Visitation will be held in the Chapel from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.  Burial will be in Peterson Memorial Cemetery in Jennings, LA.
