Shirell Claudia Cahee-Hill , 62, a resident of Prairieville, LA, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Our Lady of the Lake St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales, LA.
Shirell was born in Jennings, LA on August 11, 1963, to the late, Essie Mae Vickers-Cahee and Talmadge Welmar Cahee. She was educated in the Jefferson Davis Parish School System and was a graduate of Jennings High School. Shirell accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was a member of Union Baptist Church in Jennings, LA, pastored by Rev. Gerald W. Perkins, Sr. and later Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Dequincy, LA, pastored by Rev. Marvin Durgan.
Shirell was married to the late Warren Hill. She was formerly employed as a Caregiver until her health failed. She leaves a beautiful and remarkable legacy of love, kindness, generosity, and friendship to her beloved family and friends. Her laughs and cherished memories of her life will be long remembered by those who loved her. Shirell could go anywhere and have conversations with anyone and make them smile.
Shirell leaves to cherish her memories, one sister, Ruby Gray of Jennings, LA; one niece, Shantel Gray of Baton Rouge, LA; two nephews, Christopher Guidry of Ruston, LA and Kevin Guidry of Lake Charles, LA; a host of great nieces & nephews, Trittney, Arron, Destiny, Nadia, Landon, Kham, Jaxson, Geordan, and Zalen; a host of other relatives and friends.
Shirell was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Hill; her mother, Essie Vickers & father, Talmadge Cahee; her sister, Linda Guidry; her niece, Lori Guillory.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Union Baptist Church with Reverend Gerald W. Perkins, Sr. officiating. Visiting with family and friends will be in the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Celebration Services. Interment will follow in Peterson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
