Tammela Antoinette Perry, 52, transitioned from this earthly life on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Ochsner Lafayette General Hospital.  Tammela was a life-long resident of Jennings, LA.  She was born on March 08, 1971, to Claudia Perry and Michael Pete.  She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was a member of Our Savior's Church in Jennings, LA.  Tammela enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching Lifetime Television.  She enjoyed working, selling Paparazzi Jewelry, and selling Avon products.

Tammela is survived by her loving daughter, April Lynn Charles of Jennings, LA; her mother, Claudia Perry of Jennings, LA; her father, Michael (Brenda) Pete of Jennings, LA; her paternal grandmother, Elsa Pete of Houston, TX; her sisters, Gwen Pete, Chassidy Pete, and Alisa McDowell, all of Jennings, LA; her brothers, Ronald Perry, Jermal Perry, and Jeremy Pete, all of Jennings, LA; her grandchildren, Ayden Charles, Arielle Lumpkin, both of Jennings, LA and Jermeashia Moore of Welsh, LA; her uncles, Rev. Clinton Perry, Keith Perry, both of Jennings, LA, and Whitney Davis of Beaumont, TX, Charles Lavallier of Crowley, LA, McClish Lavallier of San Francisco, CA, Donald Lavallier of Eunice, LA, Nathaniel Malveaux Sr., Amos Pete Jr. of Houston, TX, Clarence Pete of South Carolina, Paul Pete of Okinawa Japan, Earl Pete of Houston, TX; her aunts, Angela Malveaux of Jennings, LA, Joyce (Henry) Simpson, Betty Pete, Barbara Pete both of Houston, TX, and Pamela Lavallier of Vallejo, CA;  a host of other relatives and friends.

Tammela was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Selina Perry and Curly Williams; her paternal grandparents, Anner Bell, Paul Malveaux, and Amos Pete.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11 am Saturday, April 15, 2023 in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary in Jennings, LA.  Visiting will be in the Church Chapel from 9am to 11am.  Cremation will follow the Celebration Services under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
