Mrs. Thelma Charles Castille, 87, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at a local Nursing Home in Jennings, LA.  Thelma was a native of Breaux Bridge, LA and a life-long resident of Jennings, LA.  She was born on August 24, 1932 to the late Clarence Charles and Cecile Batiste.  Thelma attended Jeff Davis High Training Academy in Jennings, LA and later worked for the Jeff Davis Parish School Board as a Cafeteria Worker.  She was a devoted member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Jennings, LA., pastored by Father Jude Fernando.  Thelma was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary – Chapter #132.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, May 30, 2020 with Father Jude Fernando officiating.  A Drive-Thru/Walk-Thru Viewing will be held from 8:00 am – 10:00 am at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, 819 N. State St. in Jennings, LA.

Thelma is survived by two sons, Gregory Castille of Jennings, LA. and Gary Castille of Conway, AR; one niece, Brenda Gobar of Breaux Bridge, LA; twenty-eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, John Castille, Jr; mother, Cecile Batiste; father, Clarence Charles; sister, Alma Gobar.
