Sister Theodora "Tee" Dubone Cade, 92, of Lake Arthur, Louisiana transitioned from earthly labor to heavenly reward while surrounded by her family. "Tee" was born on October 13, 1932, in Jennings, LA to the late Bula Ruth Dugas and Timothy Dubone, Sr.  She was educated in the Jefferson Davis Parish School System and later earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education from the historic Leland College in Baker, Louisiana.  She was later employed with the Jefferson Davis Parish School System as an Elementary School Teacher at Charles P. Adams Elementary School in Lake Arthur, LA and retired after 42-years of dedicated service.  At the school, she directed many skits and plays. She also taught private piano lessons and was always giving advise and sharing her wisdom to others.

Sister Cade accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized by the late Reverend G. C. Chaney at Antioch Baptist Church in Lake Arthur, LA.  Sister Cade remained a faithful member of Antioch Baptist Church in Lake Arthur, currently pastored by Reverend Emerson Baty.  She served as a sister in the Mission Department, Vacation Bible School Teacher, Children Sunday School Teacher, Director of the Youth, Angel, and Adult Choirs at the Church and was the Church Pianist & Organist for over 55-years.

Sister Cade was married to the late Clarence J. Cade and to that union one son was born, Tony O'Neal Cade.  She loved her family dearly and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, friends, and students.

Sister Cade was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence J. Cade; parents, Timothy Dubone, Sr., Bula & Joseph Dugas; brothers, Tommy Dubone, Philip Dubone, Timothy Dubone, Jr., and Donald Dugas; sisters, Gloria Johnson and Greta Faith Dubone.

Sister Cade is survived by her son, Tony O'Neal Cade (Mozella) of Lafayette, LA; brothers, Paul Dubone, Glenn Dubone, Carl Dubone, Michael Dubone, and Mark Dubone; sisters, Mercedes Snowden, Pat Dubone Blackwell, and Ella Marie Williams; grandchildren, Meli'sa Jade Cade and DeAndre Javier Cade (Katelyn); a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Antioch Baptist Church, 625 Iowa Ave, Lake Arthur, LA.   Reverend Gerald W. Perkins, Sr. will officiate.  Visiting with family and friends will be in the church from 10:00 am until the time of celebration services.  Burial will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Lake Arthur, LA under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
