Mr. Udo James Wehrstedt, 89 Mr. Wehrstedt entered into eternal rest on January 16, 2011 at the Southwest Louisiana War Vets Home in Jennings, LA. He was born on December 5, 1921 in Clinton, Oklahoma. Mr. Wehrstedt served honorably in the United States Airforce where he received the Good Conduct Medal Silver Clasp w/1 Loop and the Air Force Longevity Service Award w/4 Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters. He retired from the U. S. Air Force while stationed at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois with a rank of Airman First Class E4. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, January 21, 2011 at 10:00am in the Semien-Lewis Mortuary Church Chapel with Pastor W. S. Lee (Sharon Chapel Seventh-Day Adventist Church) officiating. Viewing will be from 8:00am until the time of funeral service. Burial will be in the New Palastine Cemetery in Picayune, MS with Military Funeral Honors conducted by Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, MS. Mr. Wehrstedt is survived by one daughter, Udonna Pelham, Jennings, LA, two sisters, Emma Lou Codling, Davies, FL., Joyce Parker Wehrstedt, Henderson, KT., one brother, Danny Wehrstedt, Chandler, IN., three grandchildren, Jay Pelham, Middle River, MD., Bridget Pelham, Beaumont, TX., SSgt, Albert Pelham, Elmendorf AFB, Alaska. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Cuccio Wehrstedt, two sons, Richard Allen and Udo Wehrstedt, one sister, Martha Wehrstedt and one brother, Ralph Doran Wehrstedt.
