Valerie Lawrence Pullman's Obituary
He was preceded in death by his father , Arthur Pullman and Sister , Anne Jolene Pullman Moore.
He is survived by six siblings, Lana Briscoe of Jennings; Charles C. (Soon) Pullman of Brandon, Florida; Marie Mable (Robert) Gilley of T ampa, Florida; Linda Pullman, of Jennings; V era Roberts of Dallas, T exas; and Sandra (Anthony) Jones of Lake Charles, a host of nieces, nephews¸ great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews and cousins.
He began his ministry as a Catholic Priest in 1965 and served at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Lake Arthur, LA; St. Joseph Catholic Church, Elton, LA; Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Lafayette, LA; St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church and Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Lake Charles, LA before leaving active ministry in 1985. He served as V icar for Black Catholics (Diocese of Lafayette) and on the National Black Catholic Clergy Caucus.
Mr . Pullman was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Jennings, LA.
Services will be at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Jennings, LA., on Saturday , January 14, 2017 with visitation beginning at 12:00pm followed by a Rosary and the Ma ss of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm with the Reverend Charles Mc Millin of ficiating.
Burial will be in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery in Jennings, LA., under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary .
The family wishes to thank the staff of the American Legion Hospital, Dr . Broussard and Oncology staff at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, staf f of Jef f Davis Living Center and Hospice.
