Mrs. Veola Ethridge Rubin, 66 Mrs Rubin was called to be with the Lord on Friday, October 28, 2011 at Lafayette General Hospital in Lafayette, LA. She was born on December 6, 1944 in Lafayette, LA to her loving parents, Stella Coleman Ethridge and William Ethridge. She was a resident of Jennings, LA., and a devoted member of St. Paul Baptist Church pastored by Reverend Pernell Trent. Mrs. Rubin leaves to cherish her memories 4 daughters; Bridgette Redmond, of Jennings, LA., Shellie Ethridge (Stacy) King of Houston, TX., Yolanda Rubin, Baytown, TX., Chawanda Jones of La Place, LA., 3-sons; Terrance (Torey) Ethridge of Richmond, TX., Vito Rubin and Shannon Achane, both of Jennings, LA., one brother; William Coleman of Richmond, VA., one sister; Norma Jean Cormier of Jennings, LA., 13 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband; Wilbert Achane, her second husband; Sidney Rubin Sr, both parents Stella Ethridge and William Ethridge, one grandchild; Zyi-Chrislyn Rubin, and two brothers; Robert Lee Coleman and Arthur Ethridge Sr. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, November 5, 2011 at St Paul Baptist Church with Reverend Pernell Trent, Pastor officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 8:00 am until the time of the funeral.
