Vernita Daniel Robinson, 86 Mrs. Vernita Daniel Robinson was born on December 28,1927 in the small, quiet community of Thornwell, Louisiana. She was the second eldest child, blessed by the union of Will Daniel and Viola S. Daniel. Early in her childhood, Vernita moved to Lake Arthur, where she became a life-long resident. As a teenager, she met and married her late husband, James Robinson, Sr. To this union, she was blessed with ten children. Vernital's formal education began at Jefferson Davis Parish Schools, where she attended Douglas Elementary and subsequently to Charles P. Adams School where she received a certificate for her studies. She was employed for many years in the Jefferson Davis Parish School system as a cook. Vernita realized at a very early age, she could no go through life without God. Therefore, she accepted Christ and became a member of Antioch Baptist Church of Lake Arthur, LA., where she faithfully wore man hats to uplift the Kingdom of God. Because Vernita realized how blessed she was, there was never any idleness in her thinking or doing in the House of God. Her faithful and diligent services to the Choir, Mission and Deaconess Boards was evidence of her dedication to Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, James S. Robinson; her son Ronald B. Robinson; both parents, Viola and Will Daniel; four sisters. Her children and other family who she called blessed will carry her memories until the day of Christl; James (Yvonne) Robinson, Jr. of Marino Valley, CA., Thomas (Savanah) Robinson of Lake Arthur, LA., Otha Robinson (Bobbie) Taylor of Temple, TX., Perry Wayne (Gloria) Robinson of Lake Charles, LA., Donald Q. Robinson of Killeen, TX., Willard B. (Luz) Robinson of Los Angeles, CA., Augie Robinson of Lake Arthur, LA., Evelyn Robinson of Lake Arthur, LA.; two brothers, Sandy L. Daniel of Jennings and Kirby (Brenda) Daniel of Houston, TX.; two adopted daughters, Jessie Prker and E. L. Murry, both of Temple, TX.; 42 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildrend; 2 great great-grandchildren; a plethora of neice and nephews.
