Viola Bhim, 89, transitioned from Earth to Glory early Tuesday morning, December 29, 2020 at Camelot Brookside Senior Living Center in Jennings, Louisiana.  Viola was born on February 20, 1931 to the late Mary Harrison Mitchell.  Viola was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.  She was self-employed as a homemaker and was a devoted member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Jennings, Louisiana, where she served as a Eucharist Minister, pastored by Father Jude Fernando.

Viola is survived by, her son, Kenneth Prudhomme, Sr. of Jennings, LA; four sisters, Mary Ann Mitchell of Lake Charles, LA., Annie Mae Mitchell-Woods of Lake Charles, LA., Rita Jacko of Dayton, OH., and Betty Ann Elizabeth Greis-Batiste; eight grandchildren, Shonda Prudhomme of Houston, TX., Cedric Prudhomme of Houston, TX., Twanita Prudhomme of Lake Charles, LA., Ronnie Prudhomme of Jennings, LA., Tasha Prudhomme (Allen) of Lake Charles, LA., Kenneth Prudhomme, Jr. of Welsh, LA., Christopher Prudhomme of Jennings, LA., and Lakeisha Prudhomme of Lake Charles, LA; a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other family members and friends.

Viola was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Ann Prudhomme, and Debra Ann Prudhomme Linscombe; sisters, Laura Bhim and Elizabeth Bhim; brothers, Lawrence Bhim and Mathew Mitchell; mother, Mary Mitchell; step-father, Mack Mitchell; grandson, Travis Prudhomme.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Viola, will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 920 S Broadway St , Jennings, LA.  Father Jude Fernando will officiate.  Visitation will be held from 8:30 am - 10:30 am at Semien-Lewis Mortuary in the Church Chapel, 819 N. State Street in Jennings, LA.  Burial will be in Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Catholic Cemetery in Jennings, LA under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
