It is with sadness that the family announce the passing of Wilbur "Buck" J. Johnson , 86, of Jennings, Louisiana.  Wilbur was born in Jennings, LA on July 11, 1937, to Matilda Darby and Joseph Johnson, Sr.  He was married to Brenda Guidry Johnson of Jennings, LA.  Wilbur was loved to fish and hunt and was considered to be an "Expert Fisherman."  Wilbur worked many years as a Truck Driver until his retirement.

Wilbur will be remembered by his wife, Brenda Guidry Johnson of Jennings, LA; his daughters, Cathy Stevens, Linda Johnson, Sharon Johnson, and Dana Sinegal; his sons, August Kirby Davis Jr. and Anthony Washington; his sister, Lilie Davis Black; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents, Matilda Darby Johnson and Joseph Johnson Sr; his brothers, Joseph Johnson Jr and Richard Johnson Jr; his sister, Risteen Johnson Francis; his nephew, Norwen Troy Francis.

Visiting with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary in Jennings, LA.  Funeral rites will be held at 11:00 am in the Chapel with Reverend Gerald W. Perkins Sr. officiating.  Burial will follow in Parkview Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary.
