Wiley Lee Hawkins, 61, of Jennings, LA entered eternal rest at his residence on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, while surrounded by his loving family.  Wiley was born on December 25, 1962, to Amanda Marie Hawkins and Jessie Guidry.  Wiley received the sacrament of Baptism as an infant and was a life-long member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Jennings, LA.  He was a 1980 graduate of Jennings High School, where he was a member of the Football Team and Track Team. Although Wiley was somewhat of a quiet person, he enjoyed spending time with family and was always on the go when he had free time to do so.  Wiley worked as a Concrete Finisher for many years with John Anderson Concrete Company.

Wiley leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Amanda Marie Hawkins-Holmes of Jennings, LA; his father, Jessie Guidry (Alberta) of Jennings, LA; four brothers, Lyndon Katley (Kimberly) of Missouri City, TX., Dwayne Guidry (Lisa) of Houston, TX., Tyson Guidry (Myesha) of Houston, TX., and Demetrius Manuel of Jennings, LA; five sisters, Bethsheba Thomas (Rodney) of Houston, TX., Herbetta Manuel of Jennings, LA., Raynetter Richard of Lake Charles, LA., Gayle Guidry of Jennings, LA., and Dawn McGuire (Kennard) of Sugarland, TX; his aunt, Renee Soularie (Carlton) of Jennings, LA; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2024, in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary in Jennings, LA.  Reverend Dr. Kieran D. Coleman will officiate.  Visiting with family and friends will be in the Church Chapel from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow in the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Cemetery Jennings, LA under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary.
