Wilford Jamal Achane Sr., 52 entered into eternal rest on February 28, 2014 at Jennings American Legion Hospital. Wilford was a life-long resident of Jennings, LA. He was born on January 28, 1962 to his loving parents, Clarence and Odeal Achane. Wilford was a member of Mallalieu United Methodist Church of Jennings, LA., and a graduate of Jennings High School where he lettered on the Varsity Football Team. He leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted friend, Cheryl D. Nixon of Jennings; his former wife, Sandy Ann Jackson Achane Trent, of Lake Charles; four children, Wilford Jamal Achane Jr., Whitney Paige Achane, both of Lake Charles, Deyshane Tremain Badreaux, Sharina Nicole Nixon, both of Jennings; five brothers, Clarence Achane Jr. of Lake Charles, Allen J. (Lucretia) Achane, Charles C. Achane, Glenn H. (Cindy) Achane and Desser R. Achane, all of Jennnigs; two sisters, Louise (Marshall) Jackson of Welsh, and Alice M. Achane of Jennings; two grandchildren, Zachariah Q. Jack and Wilford Jamal Jackson III; brotherly friends, Kevin Williams, Henry Cormier, Wendall Perkins, Kenneth Prudhomme and Edward Nixon, all of Jennings. He was preceded in death by both parents, Clarence and Odeale Achane; three brothers, Cleveland, Hilton, and Robert Achane; three sisters; Eldora Tizeno, Vivian Gonzales and Nancy J. Jackson; one grandchild, Jordyn Z'Khi Achane. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2014 in the David J. and Rosa W. Fondel Sr. Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary in Jennings, LA., with Rev. Kimberly Richard officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral.
