Wilford Barker , 73 Funeral service for Wilford Barker, 73, will be at 11:a.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2014 in David J. and Rosa Fondel Sr. Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary in Jennings, LA., with Rev. Dwight Barker officiating. Burial will be in the Silverwood Cemetery, with Military Honors by a Squad from Fort Polk, under direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary. Visitation is Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 9 a.m. until time of funeral services, at Semien-Lewis Mortuary in the chapel. The Jennings American Legion Post 19 will provide Military Honors at 10:45 a.m. in the chapel. Mr. Barker entered into eternal rest on March 10th, in a Crowley Care Center. He was a native of Silverwood, LA., and served in the United States Army and received an Honorable Discharge. He leaves to cherish his memories, one son, Murphy Lewis, of Jennings; two grandchildren; three sisters; Mrs. Gloria Broussard, of Silverwood, Nora Villery of Lake Charles and Thelma (Cliff) Hilliard of California; two brothers, Leroy Barker, Port Acres, TX. and Leo Barker, of Los Angeles, CA.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
