Williard Jenkins, Sr., Technical Sergeant Retired U.S. Air Force went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, January 26, 2023, while at his residence with his wife by his side. Willard was born on February 10, 1940, in Dossman, Louisiana to the late Joseph Jenkins and Esthey Spencer. Upon completing High School, Willard enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving his country during the Vietnam War and retiring after 20-years of active-duty service. Upon returning home, he enjoyed fishing, selling merchandise at the Flea Markets and was a collector of unique items. Williard enjoyed being with his family and was a man of order and always payed attention to details. Willard gave his life to Christ at an early age and was a member of Life & Hope Ministries, pastored by Minister Betty Etienne.
Willard was preceded in death by his former wife, Mary Louise Seeley Jenkins; two sons, Willard Jenkins, Sr. and Jamal Jenkins; his parents, Joseph & Esthey Jenkins; his brothers, Albert Jenkins Sr., Leonard Jenkins, and Louis Jenkins Sr; his sisters, Mildred Shepard, Ana Lee Dixon, Tessie Addison, and Eunice Jenkins.
Willard is survived by his wife, Katina Lynn Daniels Jenkins; his sons, Loren Jenkins (Kara) of Elkgrove, CA and John Weber of Jennings, LA; his daughters, BreAnn Davis of Jennings, LA and Maloni Daniels of Hinesville, GA; two grandchildren, Brendon Jenkins of Sacramento, CA and Tristin Jenkins (Emily) of Sacramento, CA.
Visiting with family and friends will be held from 9am to 11am on Saturday, February 4, 2023, in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, 819 N. State Street in Jennings, LA 70546. Celebration of Life Services will be held in the Chapel at 11:00 am on Saturday. Military Funeral Honors will be accorded by the U.S. Air Force in the Chapel at the conclusion of the Celebration Services. Burial will be at 10am Monday, February 6, 2023, in the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
