Mr. Willie Bernard, Jr., age 74 went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 in Houston, Texas.  Mr. Bernard was a native of Crowley, LA and a resident of Houston, TX.  He was a member of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church of Houston, TX., pastored by Rev. Sean P. Horrigan.  Willie was a retired Machine Operator for Chrysler Corporation after 32 years of service.

Willie is survived by his wife, Madlyn Bernard; children, Lesley Gonzales of Houston, TX., Tara Bernard of Hockley, TX., Tonette (Darol) Stoneham of Hockley, TX., and Torrie Bernard of Houston, TX; sisters, Willie Mae Minix and Rosemary Bernard both of Crowley, LA; grandchildren, Jordan Brown, Darrel Brown, Jr., Michael Brown, and Darryl (Madlyn) Stoneham all of Hockley, TX., Issac Gonzales of Houston, TX.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughters, Kennedi Maree Stoneham and Chloe Gonzales; parents, Mary Melancon-Bernard and Willie Bernard, Sr.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at St. Teresa Catholic Church, located at 417 W. 3rd Street in Crowley, LA. 70526 with Pastor Father Godwin Imoru officiating.  Visitation will be in the church from 8:00 a.m. until the time of funeral.  A rosary will be held at 9:00 a.m. in the church.  Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Crowley, LA. under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
